Black History Month 2020

Whole school Project- Scientist and Inventors

Children explored how our lives are shaped by the contributions of black people around the world. Sometimes the stories of black inventors and scientists are not celebrated and we wanted to change this.

Our children were set a homework project where they researched and learnt about black scientists and inventors and reflected on how their lives have been, and continue to be, shaped by their inventions. The children then created wonderful projects, showing all that they learnt. These projects were displayed in a Black History Month showcase that all of the children in school attended.

Here are just a few examples of some of the amazing projects.
