Kew Gardens Explorers

Cedar has visited Kew Gardens in order to learn about plants from different places! We used our science knowledge from our Plants topic to think about why the leaves, roots and stems may be different because of their environment. (Article 28: You have the right to a good education.)

We explored the Palm house and the specially adapted rainforest plants looking at the strong waterproof  leaves, drip tips, and epiphytes. We also spotted lots of plants that grow the fruit we eat and some that can be used in medicines!

We then gasped at giant water lilies and sketched plants from different biomes including desert and alpine! We have definitely accessed our right to find out things and share what we think with others! (A:13)
