Cedar has visited the Science Museum to learn about fantastic forces that exist all around us! We started by visiting the ‘space’ gallery where we looked at how astronauts do everyday tasks without gravity and how gravity is different in space!
After that, we watched a science show which involved pushes and pulls, gravity, friction, air and water resistance, and upthrust. It also had some fun experiments and a very brave stunt-frog!
Finally we went and investigated the effects of different forces in the Wonderlab.
We thought about why the plastic slide was faster than the grass one. Why you went faster on the spinner when your legs were in. Why different paper shapes flew better on the air chute.
We really accessed our right to a good education (Article 28), our right to information (Article 17) and of course our right to have fun! (Article 31)
